I am always looking for new ways to integrate Zentangle’s elements and principles with other art forms. I really wanted to create a fusion of classical abstract art and Zentangle. And the ultimate goal was to present a framework, a methodology that would help anyone to create beautiful artwork in that style. I think that I finally succeeded and I am more than happy to present you this new class.
Inspired by my love for abstract art and tangles, I wanted to create a fusion of the two so that a new creative outlet was created. I really wanted to create a framework in which artists of any skill level would create beautiful artwork based on Zentangle drawings. I think that I finally succeeded and am proud to present this new class.
I have decided to release my classes on zentangle. and have decided to use the subject of drawn patterns, a technique that is often used in abstract art schools. This new curriculum is aimed to help beginner and advanced students in creating beautiful works of art and it will allow them to apply the principles of Zentangle and Zentangle Progression in a different form of art, that is often not associated with either one of them.
In this powerful hands-on class, you will learn the fundamentals of Zentangle and how to draw patterns and combine them with abstract shapes. You will learn how to translate your drawing into a visual language, how to analyze it according to the big five modes, and how to use colors to enhance the picture. We will focus on the creation of small representational paintings in order to emphasize values, but once we have mastered the basics of drawing, main emphasis will be put on drawing organic forms such as flowers and leaves. You will learn how to integrate external influences by studying examples from other art fields or simply by exploring pictures that catch your eye. At the end of this class you will have learned all 7 elements in a simple but highly precise way that can be applied to real compositions or just for fun. The ultimate goal is to help you get inspired, but also to teach you how to explore self expression using Zentangle’s main elements in any size or medium desired.
